Both the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos defeated their NFC and AFC competitors, respectively, on Sunday. Now the Broncos and Seahawks will take two weeks to devise a game plan and then meet in New Jersey at Met Life Stadium for Super Bowl XLVIII! Who wins it?

This weekend, the Seattle Seahawks will face the San Francisco 49ers for the third time in the same season and the second time in Seattle. The Seahawks feel they have the edge with their 12th man on the sidelines (well, the stadium which is on both sides of the sidelines). They also have one of the most dominant secondaries in the NFL and the most dominant defense in the league.

The majority of TV analysts that I have been watching have chosen the 49ers to win this rematch – citing the offensive capabilities of the 49ers with Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis being favored to make big plays down the field while the Seahawks have failed to score a lot of points in the last few games – especially when facing strong opposing defenses like the Saints and 49ers. Of course, anything can happen on any given Sunday, and with the 12th man raising havoc with the 49ers offense and hyping up the Seahawks’ defense – it would not surprise me to see a game where Seattle’s defense scores more points than their offense. It will mean that the 49ers running attack must be stifled early in the game and kept stifled into the 4th quarter. Who must the 49ers concentrate on when the Seahawks offense is on the field? Marshawn Lynch is the toughest weapon on the Seattle team – and the 49ers will have to stop Lynch from getting more than 50 yards in this game. Patrick Willis and Navarro Bowman are betting that they can stop the beast from getting any more Skittles this Sunday!
