Chip Kelly

The League Is A Comedy/Tragedy All Rolled Into One

March 22, 2015 by Micheal Savoie

I know.

Fans of teams who aren’t the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks are pulling their hair out.

Well, the Buffalo Bills fans are excited. So are the Miami Dolphin fans. Their teams are looking better with the addition of a few new free agents and some trades. I mean, who wouldn’t be happy to have LeSean McCoy or Ndamukong Suh?

Poor Philadelphia Eagles fans are afraid to watch the news, because their head coach, Chip Kelly is creating Oregon East by trading for and picking up(via free agency) former Ducks. Sports radio in Philly is filled with neurotic fans who believe that Chip Kelly has lost his mind. Has he? Or is he engineering a new way to win in the NFL?

Meanwhile, in San Francisco, the 49ers are wondering what the heck happened. At the end of the 2014 season, the team lost their leader, Jim Harbaugh, as a result of ownership deciding that they needed a change. Patrick Willis, their Pro Bowl Linebacker, announced his retirement after 8 seasons. Defensive End Justin Smith announced that he may be retiring as well. But perhaps the biggest announcement was when Linebacker Chris Borland announced his retirement after only one season. I imagine that 49ers fans are reeling.

What is happening on your team? Tell us about it.
