On Wednesday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach Greg Schiano announced that Mike Glennon would be the Bucs’ starting QB effective immediately. Coach Schiano told reporters that Glennon had taken all the first team practice reps on Wednesday and that he represented the best chance for the Buccaneers to win on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
It was widely conjectured that the Buccaneers were not convinced that Josh Freeman was their man when the Buccaneers drafted Mike Glennon in the 3rd round in the 2013 NFL Draft. After a rough start, it became apparent to the coaching staff that the locker room needed someone to take charge, and they decided it was a good idea to give Glennon the chance to be that someone.
